Stuffing

This module is specially designed for the loose cargo that is going to be stuffed into containers or that is going to be loaded as break bulk cargo in the vessel.  It also applies to the inbound process when the cargo has to be unloaded and the containers have to be stripped.

An important factor in using the stuffing system depends on the operation of the line.  Whether the line is operating a warehouse and will be stuffing cargo on a real time basis, or whether the cargo is being stuffed at a different location not running the ISIS program, which will result in capturing the information after the fact.

This program can be divided in to 3 sections, as follows:

  1. The section on top with general information, including Job/ Voyage information, port of loading, port of discharge, port of final destinations. Container field, which displays status, type of movement (V/C or Pier to Pier), seal number and temperature, in case it is a refrigerated container. The last field makes reference to the time, the date, reference number, if any, booking number and warehouse where the cargo is kept.

2.      The section in the middle contains the list of dock receipts, with number and type of packages, bill of lading number and weight and measurements.

3.      The last section shows like a summary of the status of the container: total of packages, total of dimensions and whether the container is being staged or stuffed

As part of the windows properties, the dock receipt can be viewed by double-clicking on the highlighted line item or by hitting enter. Also the icons on top help users perform different options, as follows:

Refresh the information (data may be entered by another user while you take a look at this view),

New, save, cancel, and delete, standard windows functions

View Audit, whenever changes are made to the stuffing, it keeps a history of what happened

Post the container, which means change from staging to stuffing

View Inventory

View Hazardous

Change container number

Change job number

Preview\print option

There is a n option to strip a container and put the cargo into inventory . this is used in the cases where loose cargo is trucked down from another warehouse and all cargo needs to be reflected in another warehouse before being shipped.

To be able to change the container number, the program looks at the history of the new container, it needs to be available in the yard and not being stuffed for another job/voyage

All the options mentioned above can be found under File.  Edit, View and reports contain more options pertaining the stuffing

You can change the position of the columns by dragging them with the mouse To change the criteria click on the change Filter option
