Job and Proof Post

This section is where you can post a batch of B/L’s, as opposed to a single B/L from the B/L entry screen, and generate the respective invoices. It is recommended to run the proof first, to detect discrepancies and make corrections prior to posting.  The job proof will display the invoices that will be created and to whom during the posting process. It shows the list of charges and whether it is prepaid or collect. There are several options that will include or exclude items, depending on the selection made

The Job Closing Proof is a report that shows for each port of loading and discharge, the list of all B/L’s that match the criteria selected in the entry screen. It shows each B/L with customer/vendor names and whether they are posted or not, and whether they are Local or B/L Charges. For the accounting information, it displays A/R’s, A/P’s, Vouchers (If there are any), their amounts and control numbers.  At the end of the report, it summarizes the totals for posted and un posted items, and lists all accounts and departments with their respective total amounts.

Once you verify the proof you can run the Job Post. This entry screen, unlike the proof one, does not require the entries concerning the printout of the report, just the job, ports, date and whether or not you want to post the thru ports.  The Job Closing Post program posts all the B/L’s matching the criteria selected in the entry screen.
