Inbound Dock Receipt

The Inbound Dock Receipt is a document that captures information for loose cargo coming as northbound cargo into the US.  To work with this program, the job number, ports and warehouse where the cargo is going to be stored, has to be selected. The container may also be selected if cargo arrives in a vessel convenience container

Once all the selection criteria is entered, the list of bills of lading is displayed. It shows information, such as, description, packages, pieces quantity and whether is dangerous cargo or not. This information may be filtered by customer if desired, if not in the lower section of the window it displays shipper and consignee information, per highlighted line item...

To create a northbound dock receipt, just hit Enter or double-click on the highlighted line item; you will get the following screen

It comes populated with information taken from the Bill of lading. The packages numbers may be modified in case the cargo be stored in a different warehouse. Marks and numbers, reference weight and measure, may be modified, accordingly, as well.. When the button OK is clicked, the dock receipt is created and the warehouse inventory gets affected, until cargo is delivered through a delivery receipt. The dock receipt number appears on the screen and the form is prompted to be printed or previewed.

The screen gets updated with the remaining B/L’s for which documents have not been created.
